FSA Reimbursement
Air Purifiers are FSA and HSA Eligible!
What does that mean? A FSA account (Flex Spending Account) is used to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses that are not covered by health insurance, (such as air purifiers and filters).
Medical purchases are categorized as Eligible, Dual-Purpose and Ineligible.
Dual-purpose is a special category for products that have a medical purpose, as well as a personal hygiene, cosmetic or general health purpose. Since air purifiers can be used for many applications. In order for it to be considered eligible, they must be proven to treat a specific medical condition and therefore must be prescribed by a physician. These purchases cannot be made with a FSA Debit Card.
